![]() I used this program to push down the volume of the delay while the singer is actively singing. To do this, I used Fruity Peak Controller which analyzes the peak of a signal in a track according to the designated parameters. There’s a process where an audio engineer will apply the delay on a consolidated/bounced clip so it’s applied manually and concisely - however, I wanted to try to expedite that process. I use delay effects on vocals to fill out sections where the singer isn’t singing, such as during rests. ![]() This aims to leave more room for the kick drum’s 4×4 beat, the snare drums high-mid frequencies, and the hi-hat’s treble. There’s a meagre amount of reverb added to simulate that “microphone in front of an amp” sound.įruity Parametric EQ 2boosts the low-mid and sub frequencies, while cutting the high-mid to treble frequencies entirely. ![]() I used a clip of an electric guitar’s C note, and in conjunction with various FX VST’s, got rather close to the original’s bassline.įruity Multiband Compressor aims to compress and boost some of the lower frequencies of the bass while simply limiting the mid to high frequencies.īoogex plays the role of simulating a real amp, driving the mid frequencies a tad to emphasize the sound of plucking a guitar string. Instead, I opted to use Image-Line’s Harmor VST, which features a great resynthesizing function that allows for modifying samples. The electric bass was much more complicated to recreate than the electric keyboard, culpably due to the lack of synthesizers capable of recreating that sound from scratch. ![]()
